Our Strategy For Children's Ministry

We do some things a little differently here at Argyle. Children's Ministry is one of them. Because so many of our people are families with kids, a lot of what we do is centered on this part of our ministry.

We don't have a traditional Sunday School at Argyle. Instead, we have special environments for kids. For preschool, we have Amazing Place. For K-6th grade, we have UpStreet and KidStuf. During the summer, we have a special environment, SummerStuf, and year around we have Family Times that equips parents with tools to partner with the church to help kids grow spiritually.

We have some specific but simple goals for our kid's environments. In Amazing Place, they need to learn "God made me; God loves me; Jesus wants to be my friend forever." In UpStreet, KidStuf and SummerStuf, we want them to understand "I need to make the wise choice; I can trust God no matter what; I should treat others the way I want to be treated."

Everything we do aligns with those goals. To get there, we have partnered with the reThink Group because they get it. We use their curriculum materials and scripts in all our children's environments. KidStuf is an fast-paced, exciting stage environment that is not just for kids — it's for families. As a matter of fact, it is a place kids can bring their parents to learn about God. Click here to see a sample of KidStuf.
